"I'll Show You Mine, if You Show Me Yours" - Five Images Social
Local architects and their guests had an altogether different sort of social earlier this year.
Over drinks, members and guests of the local Chartered Architect’s Society were asked to speak and present on five images that they thought determined or influenced their career.
Members including past Chairman Mark Guyatt of Metropolis Architecture, and current Chairman Olly Brock of Brock Charles Ltd openly admitted their inspirations and approaches to architecture and design.
The Branch was also very pleased to welcome local CABE Representative Mr James Russell, who confessed James Stirling’s History Faculty Building at Cambridge University amongst important stimuli in his career.
The evening also saw a presentation from the Lost Property Performance Company, a Coventry based artist group who are working towards developing workshops during Architecture Week later this year.
Coventry and Warwickshire Chair, Olly Brock, commented that “this was a fantastic way of getting to know our members, and some valued guests. The evening was such a success, that the Council is already looking at running another similar evening later in the year.” Olly thanked all the participants for their time, energy, and their entertaining recounts.
