Helen Ley Home was the first specialist respite home for people with Multiple Sclerosis.
From its formation in 1979, using a 4L UK Ltd volumetric building, the home was increased in size from 12 to 23 rooms in 1982. Then in the 90's it developed with a 12 bed Long Stay Unit.
The project involves a development of a new bedroom wing with 30 en-suite rooms, coupled with the demolition of the existing bedroom accommodation, together with the development of six 'supported' apartments.
The Practice has been commissioned to design and project manage a number of healthcare buildings and nursing homes including:
