The Practice recruits Part I and Part II RIBA placements, depending on current workload and capacity.

The successful student applicants will be expected to assist in running architectural projects on a day to day basis, under the supervision of the Principal; and assist with larger projects in a team context.  They must be able to coordinate and manage projects of varying scales and complexities, taking projects through from inception to completion.

The successful student applicant must be able to communicate well with clients, authority bodies (statutory and building advisory), and other members of the practice team, consultants and contractors.  Furthermore, they should be able to work positively using their own initiative, work well under pressure, and be wishing to progress and develop themselves personally.

The successful student applicants must show to possess proficient skills in CAD, word processing, and be generally computer literate. 

Kenneth Holmes Associates is a general architectural practice, with a bias towards ecclesiastical and conservation projects.  The practice undertakes projects based on traditional contract procurement with private and community-group clients, as well as working for contractor-clients on a speculative and design and build basis.  The practice values the professional and dedicated service given to its clients, and is a strong advocate of employees developing high standards of professional service and taking pride in the delivery of good architecture.
 
Graduates are asked to write to the Practice with a covering letter, CV, and examples of their work in A4 format.
